Tip Tuesday #001: It Doesn't Hurt to Ask (to help others)

Ask and Receive

🤫 SHHHH…only a few special people will get this preview. Along with our weekly realtor closing stories we will be doing a TIP TUESDAY for you to take and grow your business with. This is your SPECIAL PREVIEW of Tip Tuesday Week 1.

This week's tip: Don't underestimate the number of times you need to reach out to"ask" to make a connection

One of the key mistakes I see realtors making is their hesitancy to ask to update someone’s details within their database or ask to serve them.

The idea that you will somehow make a living waiting for people to reach out to you is wishful thinking.

In my honest opinion, you should be spending between 10% and 20% of your time creating content that explains a buying or selling scenario and prompts people to respond to learn more about how they can get the same results.

That prompt should be to work with you to buy or sell a home.

Let me show you the difference between days where I post + ask, and where I don't:

I Got 0 Comments Here and 0 DM’s

I got over 60 comments and Several DMs

You can see from above that an average "ask" day will lead to between 30-40 more comments and 50+ more likes, while not asking leads to no comments and very few likes.

A 5x to 10x difference.

But more than just making more connections, you're also pushing people closer to work with you, slowly over time.

The scalable framework is: Post, Comment, DM, Add to Database.

I recently received a comment from an agent that decided to join our brokerage, which shows you the power of continuing to post and reach out to those who commented on a regular basis.

So how can you apply this knowledge today to help you more effectively connect with people who will want to work with you?

1.You must post a simple engaging question such as “How many of my friends are homeowners?”.

2.You then respond their comment thanking them for engaging and send then send them a DM asking how things are going and if you can add or update their info in your database.

Seriously, that is it!

Post, gather information and ask if you can serve them by getting them the information they need as a homeowner or future buyer.

Doing just these two things alone as well as following up will explode your connections with people who know like and trust you AND are closer to buying and selling than you think.

Whenever you're ready, there are 2 ways I can help you:
