😪 My Wife Left Me...

Happy Saturday Closers. My wife left me in a totally different country ALONE with our 2 kids for 7 days. 😱

I want to tell you what I am learning from this and why it is such an important lesson to learn for life and business. Read more below 👇🏽

A lesson to be learned by us all…

For those of you who don’t know, my wife and I along with our 2 beautiful boys have now lived in Lisbon, Portugal for 1 ½ years.

For many this is the dream life and for us moving to Europe has been a dream that we’ve worked to fulfil for over a decade.

BUT…dreams do come with their own set of challenges. So be careful what you wish for. 😂

One of those challenges is we both still run our companies stateside. I focus on helping real estate agents grow their business and Stefanie focuses on helping career driven women set themselves up to retire faster.

Look, we both love what we get to do as we do our best to help others forge a path to becoming millionaires more efficiently through their chose field of work.

However, when one of us leaves to travel out of country for work that means the other one doesn’t get much work done, BUT that is by design.

We both wanted to spend less time working and more time with our kids. So not much to complain about. YET, I do struggle with feeling like I am doing enough.

I love my work A LOT, but I love my kids WAY MORE! Here is a picture of the boys at a park in Lisbon this morning. Yeah, Ollie wouldn’t keep his shoes on!

When my wife leaves I get MAJOR anxiety about being a single parent. It doesn’t matter how long she’ll be away.

The laundry, the lunches, dinners, dishes, pickups, drop offs. These are all things we share as a couple when we are both home, but when she is gone or I am gone it’s all on one of us.

The thing I often forget in those moments of anxiety is that I am more than capable. I mean after all I have spoken in front of hundreds of people and coached thousands.

Yet, there is something different about managing your own children ALONE. SO…kudos to all the single parents out there doing their best.

The question I had as I thought about this while watching my kids run around the park this AM was:

Well…I will leave you with this quote and affirmation that I want you to use this weekend and this week as I believe this is a great lesson for us all.

So when in doubt…trust in yourself and know that you already posses what it is necessary to be successful.

All that is left to do is trust in yourself and DO IT!
